Savings Account
A Savings Bank account is a basic type of bank account designed to help individuals save money while earning a small amount of interest.
Savings Bank account can be opened by:
- Individuals: Any Indian resident above 18 years of age with valid KYC documents.
- Joint Account Holders: Two or more individuals jointly (Either or Survivor/ Jointly Operated)
- Minors: Through a guardian (below 18 years)
- Minimum balance to be maintained.
- With Cheque Book Rs.1000/-
- Without Cheque Book Rs.250/-
- Interest Rate - 2.7% (Half Yearly)
- Documents Required (KYC)
- Proof of Identity- Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License
- Proof of Address- Aadhaar Card, Utility bill (electricity bill, water bill etc.), Passport
- Passport-size photographs (2 No’s)
- PAN Card or Form 60
- In case of minors: Birth certificate and guardian’s documents
